If you are planning work
Tell us what you want looked at, roughly when, and what you have in mind for scope or budget. Rough is fine and a range is fine; it is what lets us say early whether we are the right people, and what the work would actually cost rather than a number invented to sound reassuring.
Most engagements open with a scoping call: a focused session to understand your systems and define the work, credited in full against whatever follows. You leave it with a plan and a number, whether or not you hire us.

If you found a security problem in something we publish
Our tools are open source and we would rather hear about a flaw than not. Email the same address with the repository and enough detail to reproduce it. We will confirm receipt within one business day, tell you what we find, and credit you when we fix it unless you would rather we did not.
What we do not do
We do not sell software licences by volume, resell anyone else’s platform, or run a call centre. The person who reads your message is the person who does the work, which is why the reply comes in a day rather than an hour.
If something is wrong right now
Say so in the subject line and lead with what you are seeing. Do not wait until you have a tidy account of it: the first hour of an incident is worth more than a complete story, and half the useful detail gets overwritten while someone writes the tidy version.
What helps most, in the message or on the call:
- What you noticed, and when you noticed it
- What the affected system does, and who depends on it
- Whether it is still running, and whether you have already changed anything
- Whether you have backups, and when one was last restored rather than taken
Nothing about this is a prerequisite. Send what you have.
